Typed Streams is similar to Property List Editor, but can display more formats, cannot edit.
Some files you might want to investigate with Typed Streams:
HSF+ Checker shows all the gory details of the HFS+ filesystem.
It shows all the naked internals you always wanted to know about and never dared to ask.
It can show the number and size of the fragments of a file; so, if you discover that your
swapfile has more than 200 fragments, you might want to try a reboot.
HSF+ Checker also checks a few things - more or less the same as Disk Utility.
HSF+ Checker does not (and indeed cannot) modify the partition in any way.
CuMist shows animated 3D curtains. This is either quite beautiful or very boring.
Γᾰλῆ shows animated animals (something between weasel and cat)
on a lawn among trees.
